On Saturday October 17th the kids at Word Alive Peru had a guest speaker that shared with them the importance of making good choices.
His name is Carlos Visag and he used to work as the Regional Director of Education, a very important position within the Ministry of Education of Peru.
Currently, Lic. Carlos Visag serves as pastor in a Baptist church in town. The kids loved the event and were very blessed.

Word Alive Peru marched for Jesus through the streets of Huancayo!

March for Jesus brings Christians of every tradition, age, and color, into the streets to celebrate what Jesus has done and to ask God's blessing on our cities. It is nothing more and nothing less than a joyous celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ. March for Jesus is a heartfelt praise for Jesus and prayer for cities and nations.

Peruvian Amazon

Not long ago our friend Victor went on an exploratory trip through the Peruvian Amazon.

The Peruvian Amazon is the area of the Amazon jungle that is confined within the territory of Peru, from the east of the Andes to borders with Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia. This region comprises more than half of the country and is an area with great biodiversity and endemism. The Peruvian Amazon is the second largest jungle after the Brazilian Amazon.

New Happy Face

The Word Alive Peru Team is constantly searching for underprivileged kids that are in desperate need of being helped so that they can attend school.

Johan Huaman Torres is in 2nd grade. He has been living with his grandparents since he was two years old. Johan is a very clever boy. When we visited them for the first time his grandmother told us that he didn’t want to go to school anymore because he didn’t have any school supplies. Johan’s grandfather works as a day laborer on the fields and what he makes is only enough to feed them.

Here we see Johan trying his new school uniform.

Thanks to the wonderful Word Alive sponsors, Johan as well as many other children will be able to go to school and have a better future.

School Year Begins in Huancayo

School year begins once again in Huancayo, Peru. Parents and children are so happy and feel so blessed to count with Word Alive's help. The great majority of these families do not have the resources to send their children to school. If it weren't for Word Alive members' generosity these children would be working and begging on the streets of Huancayo. THANK YOU to each and every sponsor that makes this possible!

Here are some more pictures of the school supplies distribution. ENJOY.

Karina's Miracle

Two years ago, Karina didn't even have a birth certificate. Her dad was not willing to acknowledge her as his child at the time of her birth. So, to be able to matriculate her in school, Victor and Olga had to go to the Chilca City Hall with Karina (6 years old) and her mom to plead for a solution. Finally, after a lot of work, her dad agreed to recognize Karina as his legitimate daughter.

Word Alive sponsors Karina and her oldest brother Miguel. If it weren’t for Word Alive these children would not be going to school. Her mom hardly makes money to barely feed her six children, one with Down syndrome.

We really believe that God hears the cry of these kids and in turn He touches compassionate hearts that give to make stories like Karina’s possible.

Thank You Word Alive Alabama for thinking about the orphans and the ones that have been forgotten on this earth.
