Monica is in 6th grade. One year ago, she was emotionally depressed because her parents had split up. She stayed living with her mom and her 4 small brothers.
In this picture we see Monica with her mom, Gladys. They had just finished doing the laundry. Ms. Gladys said that if it weren't for Word Alive she wouldn't be able to send her daughter to school. The expenses to send a child to school in Peru are way too high to be covered by the meager income she is able to get knitting hats, gloves and scarves.
In this picture she shows us what she does to feed her five children.
She is so thankful for Word Alive's help to educate her children!
