Isaura Quispe Lanazca

Dear Friends,

This lovely child is named Isaura.

Her mother never had the oportunity to attend school nor to learn how to read or write. They along with her grandparents live in deep poverty.

In addition to the crushing poverty that her mother has had to endure little Isaura was conceived in rape. When Isaura received her school supplies, uniform, and shoes she

and her mother were thrilled for the opportunity for her to go to school.

She is now a lively, bright, and happy little first grader.
Thanks to the generosity of Word Alive International Outreach she has a bright future.

Eliseo Quispe Lanazca

Eliseo Quispe Lanazca is in 9th grade. He has been receiving Word Alive's help since two years ago. His dad works as a stevedore in one of the markets in Huancayo and her mom used to work as a street vendor but because of health problems she had to stop working.

Since Eliseo is the oldest child, he goest to work early in the mornings to help his family's economy. He dreams to be an operator of heavy machinery one day.

Eliseo told Victor that they are a big family and that his dad's meager income is not enough to eat well, much less to buy everything the school asks you for.

He thanks Pastor Kent and the Word Alive families for the help he gets every year. Because of this help he is able to go to school and get an education.

Lizbeth Rodriguez Aroni

Lizbeth is a shinning example of the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
In September 2005 she came to Word Alive Peru battered and bruised. Crying, she shared how she had been abused by her step sister's husband for months. Immediately it was reported to the police. Soon she was living with Word Alive Peru.
Three years later and you can see by these pictures how the Lord has moved mightily in her life. She is a very kind and happy young lady who enthusiastically helps tutor the younger children at the mission. She has lots of friends at school and says she wants to become a lawyer so she can help defend the most needy women and childrenThank God for his wonderful work in Lizbeth's life.

Word Alive Peru Encounter

August 2nd & 3rd, 2008 will be unforgettable days for the 50 kids that attended the first encounter weekend that Word Alive Peru had ever organized.

Meal times were particularly exciting for them. The kids loved to eat together at the same table with their friends. Victor, Olga, Cesar and two ladies did all the cooking and serving. Sunday lunch was delicious!

They would have big group meetings and then they would break up in smaller groups according to their ages.

Here we see some teenagers sharing and having fun together.

On Saturday night they stayed up until midnight. They built a bonfire and share the goodness of God together. Olga was in charge of this session and the kids loved it. They had a lot of fun.

We see them working in a smaller group.

Most of these kids had never ever participated in an event like this, mostly due to economic reasons. Thank You Word Alive Alabama for making this event possible for them.
