Sunday School Classes

Every Saturday and Sunday more than eighty children gather at our place in Huancayo to have fun, fellowship and biblical instruction. They have a great time.

Thank you Victor & Olga and Cesar for all that you do!

Katy and Angela Flores Porras

These precious girls are Katy and Angela Flores Porras. Katy (on the right) is in 9th grade and has great grades. She would like to become a zoologist when she grows up. Angela (on the left) would like to become a Forest Engineer. They live with their mom and two more sibblings. Their dad passed away two years ago after suffering of cirrhosis of the liver. Even though their precarious financial situation they both have big dreams to succeed.

Katy has been sponsored by WAIO since the last couple of years. Angela has entered the sponsorship program this year. They are thrilled to have this help coming to them and to have made so many new friends at Word Alive Peru.

More Pictures from the Trip

While in Lima we helped Pastor William and his wife get the new building ready for Sunday services.

You go John Byrd! Here is John protecting the floor so we could paint the ceiling.

Here is Magda, Angel's girlfriend, removing the contact cement from the floor. Hard work!

When we would visit a school, the children would get so excited! Each and everyone would want their picture taken.

Here is Brian and the dancing team.

Here is John, on behalf of WAIO, receiving a Thank YOU plaque from Kidz Alive Peru:

Peruvian home

Most families raise guinea pigs in their homes. Their meat is a great source of protein with very low fat.

While walking around the city of Huancayo we came accross all sorts of street vendors selling all sorts of foods, vegetables and trinkets. This particular one was selling frog soup.
